Peroxide ears

UPON the advice of my friend Gina or Gian depending on when you talk to her and how much expresso she has had. I have been putting peroxide in my ears. You can read about her post here.

Anyways, I have concluded that doing this originally was a way of torture, but the torturers
discovered that their prisoners were really healthy and never got sick so they started trying it on themselves.

I tell you I almost go insane when I do it..oh wait..ok MORE INSANE standing there with those bubbles just bubbling away. It makes me dizzy and want to throw up. Jim laughs at me because I stand there and grunt and yell well not too loud..cause I'm working on that.

Is it helping? I have no idea! I usually can't do it as long as I'm supposed to because it drives me nuts so probably not. The things we do for health.

Jamie, Jamie, Jamie . . . my mother used to put peroxide in my ears when I had an ear infection, and I loved it. I love the feeling of the bubbles! LOL

Am I the ONLY one who thinks this idea is nutty?

It probably just throws your equilibrium off..I agree with Gina..I would lay down and do it. I love the benefits of peroxide...bubbles that infection right out! Tastes gross, but it is a great mouth wash for killing germs/bacteria!

Gina,

First off, I don’t want to get into a debate on whether or not this method is good for you. It’s your body; you can do whatever you want. My statement is based solely on my thoughts. I know that I am not going to change your mind and you are not going to change mine. With that being said the rest of the post is solely to answer your question.

I do NOT in any way want to offend you and I apologize if I did.

I read the article posted on your site and I find it nutty for these reasons:

then pulled it after it was on the site for a few hours as I had reason to believe the source was flawed

The Doctor posting this comment starts by saying that she (?) admits that the following material is not based on any medical proof whatsoever.

I was quite surprised to receive an unsolicited email from someone who claimed it worked for her entire family. She also provides some positive experiences she has had with EFT.

The results are coming from mothers/families. There is no basis to their findings. Who’s to say that that person/family would have gotten sick in the first place? Or how is there proof that using peroxide is what cleared the infection? There is a reason why there are clinical trials. They are there so that all variables can be ruled out and a hypothesis is proven or disproved.

From what we have read, hydrogen peroxide works quite well and is supposed to be effective 80% of the time, especially if done when the symptoms first appear.

The Dr’s use of “and is supposed to be” shows me two things, (1) she has no conviction of what she is saying and (2) she has no proof to what she is saying.

In 1928 Richard Simmons, M.D. hypothesized that colds and flu virus enter through the ear canal. His findings were dismissed by the medical community.

It hasn’t even been proven that virus’ enter through the ear! And if they don’t, it can’t be the peroxide that is killing them.

In 1938 German researchers had great success using hydrogen peroxide in dealing with colds and the flu. Their data has been ignored for over 60 years.

1938? I would like to see what their research consisted of considering that they were working on the basis that virus’ enter though the ear which has not yet been proven.

I would also like to say that God in his infinite wisdom gave symmetry to all things. One of those things is the concept of ph balance. How acidic or alkaline your body may be is relative to the individual. If the peroxide in the ear works for you, great, but it might cause harm to someone else.

Well. Not that anyone knows me or cares what I say anyways, but I think that you were fine to make a comment, Gina. (believe it or not, and you will ALL laugh, I just spelled it Gian, TOTALLY on accident!!) I also think that I could NEVER stick peroxide in my ear, but for some reason I want to!! :) I have always had ear problems and pretty much one cold after the other, and my daughter is just the same way. I am truly tempted to try it, but she freaks out over anything. My sister is more for trying new things like that, so I'm sending her the link, she loves mercola.com. She can be my guinea pig. I honestly think that Dr. Mercola (who is MALE)wouldn't have put it back on his site if he thought it was harmful.
Maybe someday I'll get the nerve up, but until I do, at least I KNOW someone who's tried it!! :)
And I'm NOT being rude or mean to anyone, I actually found the above comments to be rather humorous, and I thank you all for the laughs. :)
