Yeah, Gina. I think you might've heard him preach once or twice?? No, seriously, I LOVED his post. My husband deals with soooo much of that, not being a pastor, but as a church member surrounded by people with Bible College degrees. Thanks for posting this JAMIE!!! It was definitely worthwhile. I knew I was friends with you for a reason. Otherwise, what are you good for??
:) ...I am sure many did wonderful things for the cause of Christ, and then this whole "Vegas" feel just cheapens it. Why would someone, who purely allowed the Lord to use them, want some tacky recognition for it? And, I totally agree with the Degree part...other than say Luke being a physician, the other disciples and apostles were just ordinary men called an empowered to an extraordinary work. It's not like the lack of degree equals lack of God working through you when called- what a horrible insult to say otherwise about an omnipotent God! Amen Pastor!
